    01 / THE COMMUNITY

A conversation can take a question further.

Reading helps you find a question. Talking about it can open another line of enquiry. The Hub brings people and INNERSTANDIN's educational resources together in one place, with space to share what you are exploring and follow discussions that matter to you.

    Share

Post a question, thought or discovery. Add an image or a resource to give the conversation context.

    Connect

Find member profiles and approved practitioners, follow their posts and choose how to connect.

    Explore

Bring articles, books, Body Map pages, research and available videos into a discussion.

    02 / THE FEED

    Start with a thought.
    Keep the thread.

The latest feed is the starting point for the wider community. Follow a discussion, respond to someone else's idea, or add a resource that helps explain what you mean.

    Posts & replies

Write a post, add an optional image or attach one INNERSTANDIN resource. Comment on posts and reply within a thread. You can edit or delete your own posts and comments.

    Reactions

Use Like, Support or Insight to respond to a feed post. Open the comments when you want to add more.

    Following & saved

Follow a member to find their posts in your Following feed. Save a post to return to it in Saved posts.

    Stories

Share a short text update, with an optional image, that appears in the Hub for 24 hours. Stories can be reported or removed. Image links may remain accessible after expiry or deletion.

    Notifications

In-app notifications show activity such as follows, reactions, comments and replies. Open an item to see the associated profile or discussion.

    03 / KNOWLEDGE IN CONTEXT

Bring the evidence into the conversation.

The resource picker lets you deliberately attach an INNERSTANDIN article, book, Body Map page, research collection or published video to a post. Use it in the main feed or in a group discussion so others can follow the same material.

    Search beyond the feed

Search members, approved practitioners with Hub profiles, feed posts, groups, topics and resources. Search does not include private messages or group discussions.

    Shared video briefings

Published INNERSTANDIN videos shared to the main feed can show a preview and, where supported, play there. You can also open the full briefing.

    04 / PEOPLE & CONNECTIONS

    Make connections on your terms.

A community profile gives other members a way to see what interests you. Follow someone to keep up with their posts, send a friend request or start a one-to-one conversation.

    Your profile

Choose a display name and optionally add a bio, interests, profile photo and cover image. Profile text is visible to signed-in Hub members. Do not include your email address.

    Members & friends

Search profiles by name, interests or specialties. Send, accept, decline or cancel friend requests; manage your connections in the Friends view.

    Messages

Visit a member profile to start a text-only conversation. A first message may become a request, which the recipient can accept or decline. Your Inbox, Requests and Sent views keep conversations organised.

    Contact choices

Choose who can start a new conversation: all members, with non-friends using requests; friends only; or no one. Existing accepted conversations remain open. Mute or block members from their profiles and review these choices in Your controls.

    Practitioner identity

Approved, active practitioners can appear with a practitioner badge. An eligible practitioner can choose to publish a separate professional page with details and selected resources. Qualifications on that page are self-reported.

Practitioner approval is based on the INNERSTANDIN listing, not a substitute for checking professional registration or suitability.

    05 / GROUPS

A closer circle around a shared focus.

Discover or create a group, build a discussion around a subject and bring resources into the exchange. Each group has its own discussion, chat, events, polls and rules.

    Public groups

Signed-in Hub members can see public group discussions. Join the group to contribute, use its chat and take part in activities.

    Private groups

Names and descriptions are discoverable to signed-in members. Rules, discussions, activities and member lists are restricted to approved members. Request to join or accept an invitation.

    Membership

Group owners and moderators can manage requests and invitations, review reports and moderate content. Owners can assign moderators. Group privacy is chosen when the group is created and cannot be changed afterwards.

    Discussion & chat

Group members can post, attach a resource and reply in threads. Separate text-only group chat is available to active group members, even in public groups. Chat refreshes while open and does not send automatic notifications.

    06 / EVENTS & POLLS

    Gather around an idea.

Groups can organise a meeting, workshop or shared activity and see how members respond. Events live in their group, so return to the event for updates.

    Events & RSVPs

Active group members can create an event with a title, date, local time, time zone, details and optional place information. Members can mark Going, Interested or Not going.

    Online meetings

Organisers may add an HTTPS invitation link from another service. Join meeting opens that service in a new tab. INNERSTANDIN does not create or host calls; the external service controls access. Anyone who can see the link can share it.

    Keep checking

Events do not send automatic invitations or notifications. Check the event itself for changes or cancellation.

    Polls

Active members can create a question with two to eight options and vote for one. Votes can be changed while the poll is open; the poll can be ended by someone with permission to manage it.

    07 / PRIVACY & MODERATION

    Know who can see what.

Choose what you share deliberately. Your personal health notes are not added to posts, group activities or messages automatically.

    Community visibility

Profile text, main-feed posts and Stories are visible to signed-in Hub members. Public group discussions are also visible to signed-in members.

    Group boundaries

Private group rules, discussions, activities and member lists are for approved group members. Group chat is restricted to active members in both public and private groups.

    Images & Stories

Uploaded images have public links anyone with the link can view. Files may remain accessible after a post or image is removed, or after a Story expires or is deleted. Do not upload sensitive images.

    Reports & controls

Report posts, comments, profiles, Stories and applicable group content for review. Moderators can take action, and removed content or Story records may be retained for moderation. Mute or block members as needed.

Community discussion is educational and does not replace medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or qualified clinical care. Keep sensitive personal and health details out of your posts, messages and images. Read the Privacy Policy.

The Hub is for INNERSTANDIN members and practitioners who want to share questions, ideas and educational resources. You do not need to be a practitioner to take part.

    Do I need another account?+

Use your existing INNERSTANDIN account or create one through the sign-in screen. The first time you enter the community, create a Hub profile with a display name.

Who can see what I share?+

Hub profile text, feed posts and Stories are visible to signed-in Hub members. Public group discussions are visible to signed-in Hub members; private group discussions are restricted to approved group members. Group chat is for active members even in public groups.

    Are uploaded images private?+

No. Images uploaded to the Hub have public links that anyone with the link can view. They may remain accessible after removal. This includes images in Stories, even after the 24-hour Story expires. Do not upload sensitive images.

    How do I join a group?+

Discover groups in the Groups tab. Join a public group, request to join a private group, or accept an invitation. Private group names and descriptions can be discovered by signed-in Hub members.

Can I control who messages me?+

In Your controls, choose whether all members can start a conversation, with non-friends using requests, only friends can start one, or no one can start a new conversation. Existing accepted conversations remain open. You can also mute or block members.

Is this a place for personal medical advice?+
